JOIN TEACHERS FOR PEACE

Teachers for Peace is a politically unaffiliated organisation working to promote peace and disarmament in Australia.

Membership is open to current and former teachers from every sector, education workers, students of any age, and individuals who share our goals.

Our three key goals are to:

1. Identify policies that education departments can adopt to promote peace
2. Identify and remove weapons industry influence on school STEM curricula
3. Educate students, colleagues, and communities on the costs of war and the benefits of peace and disarmament

Members shape and lead our work, and are ambassadors for the critical need to demilitarise education, and to promote peace and cooperation in Australia and around the world.

Why join?

      • You think kids should learn how to make peace rather than prepare for war
      • You’re concerned about over-investment in defence and national security
      • You’re passionate about demilitarising education in Australia
      • You’re keen to act now and want to join a team that’s making a difference
